Unnamed, 1801

This American sampler shows its origin by its Pennsylvania colors. It has two alphabets surrounded by an uneven border of small flowers and leaves.

Our model was stitched on 40 count cream linen from Wichelt Imports, and was hand-dyed after stitching to give it an aged look.

The stitch count is 116 by 127. On 40 count linen, the design is 5 3/4 by 6 1/2 inches.

Reproduced and stitched by Edna Medlin.

Floss required:

Au ver a soie: 2911, 4611, 1844, 3831, and 1843.
